When it was facing forward i had running problems even in light rain. Would having the opening face the rear of the car, as opposed to the front, prevent water from entering the snorkel? Ram air is a scam, until you hit around 70 miles per hour, and if you are offroading you are probably limited to around 55-60 anyway with the tires on your car. Mantonite Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 I'm pretty sure facing backwards would hurt performance. The low pressure vortex behind the tube would be difficult to breathe through. Try it... stick your head out the window. Try to breathe facing forward, then turn around backwards (suggest you have someone else drive). Just my $0.02.
