January 30, 200620 yr noticed some say outback struts for an imprezza, but whats an inexpensive way to gain a couple inches on a Legacy, i like it, it drives well but feels way low thanks.
January 30, 200620 yr The Forester bits work on the Impreza, for the Legacy you're gonna want Outback parts, depending on what year, i don't think that the old legacys, 90-94 will fit to the Outback parts, but i'm sure someone here could tell you if they do.
January 30, 200620 yr i think i've heard of people lifting their gen 1 legacies. i, personally, lifed my gen 2 '96 LS with the outback struts.
January 30, 200620 yr Outback struts do work on '90-'94 Legacies. For my '93, I ordered KYB's for a '97 Outback and used standard '93 Legacy springs. That produced about 1.5" of lift. To get more lift you could use Outback springs, but I believe they are stiffer and would result in a harsh ride. Plus there would be more angle on the axles.

The angle on the axles won't be so bad you'd worry about it.

Mike, do you have a photo of how your car looks now? I have a 93 legacy wagon too, and it needs struts. I would love an extra 1.5", depending on how it looks. I don't really want the legacy to "look lifted". I'll save that for my 84 GL.
January 30, 200620 yr I'm running stock tires on my car and it doesn't look lifted. It's slightly higher than it was with air suspension in "up" mode. I'll try to post a pic later. Slightly stiffer springs might be a good thing, worth considering.
