I have a 1995 2.5 Legacy wagon, but the manuals are written in Japanese. There is a button in the centre console that is marked with a snow flake and the words Hold A/T. Can anyone tell me what the button does?

its a sort of traction control. It holds the car in gear, may be 2nd or third, as im not sure. It keeps the wheels from spinning. Best way to find out is to press the button and take off from a dead stop and see how the car performs.nipper
