I don't think I've seen any subes with the simulated wood grain on the sides featured on this board ever. I knew a guy in high school that had an ea81 d/r wagon. It was tan with the wood panneling. I think I saw it on a gen 1 in a brochure once, but I have never seen wood on any ea81 or 82 cars on the board. Did they offer it on ea82 cars? I have seen the ski team graphics a couple of different times, and the Mtn Grizzly graphics, but no wood. Am I missing something? Was it really that rare?

Pretty rare. Moosens is the expert on this, I think he was trying to get a lead on the material for doing it.

My father owned an 82 D/R GL wagon with the simulated wood on the side. I will try to find some pictures of it in out old photo albums. It was a tan color with the wood.
