The coolant in my radiator is overflowing. My machanic "fixed it" by replacing the radiator cap, but it overflowed again and I can smell the fluid. My temp gauge is reading normal so I wonder what is going on?

hmmm, wrong forum bud, but it sounds like the first signs of head gasket failure or possibly a clogged radiator.
