Alterative fuel pump for 92 loyale????

Featured Replies

so the little rubber diaphram on the end of my fuel pump is spitting ... anyone find a cheeper alterative... Advance auto quoted me $179 and the subaru steelership said $299 for a new pump...

but i looks like a simple 2 wire hookup and i just need to find a pump with the propper psi... anyone already done this?????

the car is a 1992 subaru loyale ea82 with a 3 speed automatic and pushbutton 4wd.... ~119,*** miles..

thanks

yea you can go about it a different way. after market Fuel Injection fuel pump. 42 Psi is what the SPFI runs off of I believe. You could even get a bigger pump and put a pressure regulator on it.

Hey Frank B!!!! thanks!!!!! i would have been afraid to jump to 95 psi.... but if it worked cool!!! i'll be ordering a new pump today!!!

thanks

dan

Other than the increased pressure, it also has double the flow rate.

Your welcome, that's why this board is here.
