Water Pump leak

Featured Replies

My father in law has a 90 Justy 1.2L. He had a small coolant leak, he had a guy put the rebuild kit in and it still leaked. I now get to work on it, and its my first Subaru to ever work on.

What I would like to know is, what is prone to go wrong with this engine? Has anybody ever seen a cracked pump housing? Blown head? It seems to be coming from the front passenger side of the engine, however I can not see exactly because to the exhaust manifold.

Not sure on the coolant leak, but the big downfall to the Justy is the oil pump - they need to be replaced at least every 100k or so we hear.
