Well coming off 405 to the 520 towards seattle, all of a sudden loud rattling sound and then boom! gigantic cloud of smoke behind me, and lose power. Got it towed home last night, large amount of oil all over the tow truck. Look this morning to see what happened and found the damn block cracked near the header. THIS REALLY PISSED ME OFF! Im stressed out enough with my father dying and school, and now this bull************, looks like I'm out of the subie world.

i would guess the oil pump died

lemme guess, rod through the balancer shaft and out the side of the block. Did your oil pressure warning light ever come on?

Well there was quite the big hole I found behind the exhaust manifold and then it started up even with the hole and pretty much no oil it was crazy!

It's a 1.6 liter turbocharged mazda motor that was stock in the 323 GTX, Mercury capri xr2 and something else...But I don't remember what.

 

 

Anyway, it's a TINY motor that makes decent HP that I've ALWAYS wanted to stick into a Justy!
