March 19, 200620 yr I have decided to try and change the module on my 87 Gl-10 auto to see if that fixes my tranny problem. Is this a dealer item, if so what will this cost.

Hi boost, I've replaced one on a '88 GL, it was leaking internally. I pulled the vacume line off and fluid ran out of it. Don't know what they cost new, i just put a good used one in. It came off a parts car.
March 19, 200620 yr Author Will it matter if it came of a newer subaru. I have a 93 legacy with a 4 spd auto. I think its diffrent but I figured i would ask. Also all my ATF is going to run out isnt it.

I don't know if the Legacy one will fit but not much ATF will run out, certainly not all. Even if you pull the drain plug on the pan about 4 quarts will drain.

March 20, 200620 yr Author Thank you semyonlibman but I get discount at any autoparts store through my fathers auto repair business. I will call up the auto parts tommorow and check a price. I will also be going to the junk yard and will look for one there also.
