2 tone paint

Featured Replies

What years and models could you get 2 tone paint on the subarus? I am talking pre-legacy/imprezza here. Ea82 cars and older. I could have sworn I saw it on an ea82 touring wagon. It had dark blue rockers and the rest was light blue.

Thanks.

Don't know the general answer, but I've got a project '90 Loyale wagon that is maroon with grey rocker panel factory paint - looks sharp.

That's good to hear. I was sure I had seen factory 2 tone wagons. In looking through the old brochures online the only 2 tone options I saw were for the XT and brat (I think).

I've had a couple, a maroon/silver Loyale and a blue/silver GL wagon. Check the main page for the color combinations and years, there's an entire page with the model, year, engine type and color combo and paint code on this site.

huh, I must have looked at the wrong page. I didn't see any for the wagons. Or was it just that the 2 tone was only offered on wagons after 89? I didn;t look at the newer brochures.

Thanks.

alot of the ea81 cars i`ve had and seen have had an aluminum trim along the bottom that is painted to look like a 2 tone. it was from the factory and covered from the rubber molding down.
