March 24, 200620 yr I recently passed the 60,000 mile mark and was checking the owner's manual to see what maintenance I have to do. Well the owner's manual referred me to another document - a Maintenance schedule - which I do not have. I was wondering if anyone could scan one and email it to me? This is for a 2000 obw / Legacy. Steve
March 26, 200620 yr Author If no one can help, perhaps just a simple listing of the items that should be serviced at 60,000 miles. Steve
March 26, 200620 yr Subaru webside has it listed all. In short, replace: engine oil+filter ATF air filter coolant spark plugs brake fluid Notice that it is 60,000 miles OR 60 months whichever comes first, so it should have been done a year ago. I mention this as I made the same mistake in my 2000 legacy.
March 26, 200620 yr If you register on my.subaru.com they will also tell you what recalls have been performed and what are outstanding.
March 26, 200620 yr Author Well. I am not to bad off. THe only thing which is on the list that should have been done that I did not do myself or have done was change the spark plugs. Steve
March 26, 200620 yr Might want to also do the PCV valve, fuel filter, and replace the front and rear diff oil. Should also take a look at your your drive belts, not sure when the recommended replacement is for them, but i'm planning on about 75k.
March 28, 200620 yr Author Still good news. I changed the air filter, fuel filter and PVC in the fall. So everything is good except for the differentials and spark plugs. I do not know how I missed the plugs but I have to admit that I would not have thought of the differentials. Steve
March 28, 200620 yr Technically, diff fluids are not listed as required items to replace under standard service. I replaced mine at 40000 miles and was glad, there was some metal in them. Synthetic is way to go, peace of mind for 40-60000 miles.
