im going to be making a road trip starting tomorrow heading up the US-101 through as far as we can make it in a few days. ive got my cell phone and a very old CB radio for emergency purposes. i also have a handheld VHF marine radio. does anyone use those on land, or are those pretty much strictly Sea-going radios? also, if anyone does live up north of Santa Barbara and would be willing to help me out if ************ hits the fan mechanically on my 88 GL 1.8 FI, i would be forever grateful for a phone number and the county you live in. thanks in advance.

marine radio's are for boats only, if you get caught there is a fine , stay off ch-16 , i would use frs uhf radio's or gmrs
