I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the microswitch on the 4wd shifter in a 86 gl is for. I figured it would be to the 4wd indicator in the dash but this is not the case. nothing in the books I have. Thanks in advance.

well, on mine, an 81 gl, that switch is for the indicator. maybe you have a bad bulb or fuse?
