March 29, 200620 yr i think i did something smart but i welcome your opinion in case i'm overlooking something didn't want to replace the fusible link and have it continue to blow at $9 a throw so i bought a wire with an inline, replaceable 30 amp fuse to repalce the link until i can be reasonably certainthe problem that is making the link cash is fixed. <$5 for the link and 6 30 amp fuses will this work o.k. or did i forget something??? thanks, gregg
March 29, 200620 yr You'll certainly protect your wiring with a 30 amp fuse. I would be surprised if the headlights work with just a 30 amp'er in there, if it's the main link.
March 29, 200620 yr they also sell fusible link wire. buy a roll of fusible link wire for a dollar or two and make your own fusible links with the original end links or standard electrical ones off the shelf will work too. i've done it. a handful from the junk yard for 50 cents is nice too if you have the time. they are standard across a zillion models, years, and engines.
