All the subies I have owned since '76 had good dip sticks - I f you leave the car sitting overnight, you pull the stick and get a good reading.

 

Except our 01 Forrester. Oil is always up past the full mark, have to wipe it, then insert & remove, and get a trickey to read level.

 

Is this "normal"?
