Boost Sensor

Featured Replies

Quick Question: When gazing under the hood of my 03 Forester X, I noticed a "Boost Sensor" on top by the ignition wires.

I thought "How silly to have such a thing on a non-turbo car"

Perhaps this was all set up to use the same engine with a light turbo to bolt to the top for the Forester XT? *curious*

curious... makes me wonder IF its a odd name for the fuel pressure unit when the pump goes to higher PSI when you floor it?????

..or maybe its just part of the wiring to be cheaper at streamling the assembly line with a "single wirring system and only installing *needed* adapters as the model requires....

oh- and I'm thinking its just thrown on there to make a universal wiring system that wouldn't have to be changed for the XTs. Maybe today I shall take a peek at another Forester /xt and check it out.
