225/70/15 tires on an Outback?

Has anyone put 225/70/15 tires on standard Outback rims? I think they would work, the fit will be tight in the wells. If you have this combination and they are working please let me know. Standard struts, no lift.

I have 215-70-15's on my 97 OBW. There is less than 1/8" of clearance between the tire and the struts in the rear. I think you would need spacers or something other than the stock rims to get 225's to fit without rubbing.
