hutch85
Looking at the dark blue hood on my 02 Legacy Wagon I cannot help but notice the many tiny rock chips and scratches. I am talking about hundred of the little marks that are only really visible up close but together make the hood not look its best. Does anyone have any suggestions on some sort of wax or compound to buff out these tiny scratches and swirl marks. I am beyond filling them in individually but was wondering if there was treatment that I could apply to the hood. Thanks
cookie
You cand detail a lot of them out with touch up paint and Langka. Look it up on the web if you have not heard of Langka. Autotopia has a good detail section. Chips you have to fill and smooth and some stuff you can polish out. If it is bad enough a repaint is easier. Scratch and swirl remover helps on light stuff. hutch85
I find a pretty good site with a lot of information on paint finishes and also some interior vinyl care and tire care. I think I will try the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and see how that works. If you want the site is: http://www.carcareonline.com/howto.aspx He seems to know what he is talking about. Thanks for the reply.
