Hi guys...

Wanting to head out towards the coast from Portland this Saturday AM for some four byin' fun. Anyone game? Not sure exactly where I want to go but somewhere between beaverton and the beach.

thats a cool place to go, lots of hardcore trails. you need an ohv permit/sticker or you can get ticketed, they do patrol that place. took my lifted sooby there last year and had a blast beat the piss out of it, will be going again soon once i get it going again.

I made it out Saturday around noon. We started heading up towards St. Johns and then drove over Cornelius pass Rd. Ended up taking 26 out to 47 and finding some great trails around Vernonia. My friend's bronco got stuck BAD in some mud and we spent almost two hours getting him out. My subie ended up pulling him out in the end :headbang:. I will post some pics later.

I definitely want to check out the OHV park sometime. So I just need a class II ATV permit right? The only thing special I need is a fire extinguisher, I think, which I've been meaning to get anyway.

I know this is a bit late, but I've been wanting to check out the Tillamook OHV park on Hwy 6...

you can check it out here: http://atv.prd.state.or.us/site_detail.php?UID=3

there's a web link that goes to the site with a good trail map...

that looks like a promissing place we are headed down to Sandlake on the coast for july 4th week, its just below tillimook

I got the OHV sticker on the car, but don't really want to beat this thing up quite yet... just want to explore and take in the scenery...

I just need a weekend when my copilot (gf) isn't working or having bad back pain...

not all the trails there are hardcore, there are some fairly tame ones. the map does show trail rating on it too.
