spark plug Q

Recommended Posts

Just a guess, but Back in the Day (Early '60's) Gear Heads would get LONGER Plugs, and remove the washer as well, to increase compression. Since it is displacing some of the air, it is essentially making the combustion chamber smaller, raising compression. This is part of the Royal Bobcat package put on Pontiac's from Ace Wilsons Pontiac dealership in Royal Oak Michigan. But with todays engines, I doubt you're going to get any noticable gains from this "Trick". If it's for another reason, thanks for letting me Bable on about Detroit History/Trivia, one of my passions!:burnout:
