I have a 2005 Outback XT. Anyways, a week ago I disconnected the battery, cleaned the connections, and reconnected the battery. After doing this I started the car, but it took much longer to start than it normally takes (similiar to if the engine is flooded). However, after starting it that first time, it now starts just fine and does not take long at all. So, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery again, and it seems that every time this is done, it takes longer to start the car the first time after the battery is connected. Do you think this has to do with reseting the computer? I had the car checked out by Subaru and they said it was fine? Anyone else experience this?

You are dumping the computers memory and it needs to relearn the best settings. If its not broken, don't fix it. Keep the battery connected. Some shops keep 12V going to the system when they disconnect the battery to keep all the info.
