Hi All-

 

First off let me say how happy I am to have found this site! I just purchased a 1999 Forrester on Sat. 2 days later and I'm replacing the battery. Which I just did this morning. I was aware that it would need replaced. One of the weirdest things (and I've seen some biggies) is blinking lights. Like the hazards lights are on, but they're not. And when they are they blink really fast. Unfortunately my friend that I got this from can't find the manual for it either, so I don't even know what fuse to pull to stop this.

 

Please someone help before my new battery dies from this craziness.

this is an easy one, search around a bit or someone will chime in. The remote entry or alarm has to be reset.

I put new battery in the keyless remote, locked than unlocked it and it worked.
