It depends on the crack; repair of edge cracks is often less successful than those that are located elsewhere. You might want to check with your auto insurance company, since many of them will cover windshield crack repair with zero deductible.

Windshield can be replaced by insurance if they are heavily scratched, not even cracked. I would definately replace it, windshield are kinda important. In NY you can't pass inspection with a cracked windshield
