I just stripped out an 16 and 1800 motor, and broke both the oil pumps taking them off. Both broke at the base. What am I doing to these poor pumps?

Can't say it's you if you are pulling them off. After you pull everything off, tap them gently with a rubber mallet to loosen them. If you are taking them off to replace them then who cares. If you are replacing a seal then take your time and tap them like I said.

there will be a small bolt off to one side if you are over looking it. there should be 5 bolts!
