Hey, anybody out there fit 6X9" size speakers in the doors of his/her Subaru Legacy or Baja? I have an '03 Baja, and I think 6.5" speakers will fit max. according to Crutchfield, but I really want a nice set of 6X9s to fit. If so, did you have to have a fit kit or did you do some kind of custom install? Thanks

You can try, and cut out the metal, and extend it to the specs you need. I would just go with the 6.5's, and maybe get a small sub, and some tweeters.

ditto and that will sound better than just 6x9's one. Just get a smaller amp to power the sub.
