Sqeasel
I recently swapped the engine out of my Brat for the engine of another brat of the same year. Everything is working great, but when i get up to higher freeway and highway speeds the stick buzzes like none other. I cant even hardly firmly grasp it because it is vibrating so violently. The car still drives, but the stick shakes. Any ideas? Is this a serious thing? How can i fix this? Thanks Nigel
Turbone
Check the tranny mounts, make sure they are tight. Might try and rotate the driveshaft 180deg also.
Sqeasel
Is this a serious problem? or can it wait a week or two?
Turbone
Does it seem like the tranny is moving when you shift? That could be a problem if not corrected soon. You need to get under the car (use jackstands) and try and move the tranny up, you can see the mounts and be able to tell if they are bad. If its the driveshaft, its a inconvience mostly. But if left that way it could eventually affect the bearings in the rear diff and tranny.
