91 legacy

anyone who can enlighten me, i have aquired a legacy and dont have alot of history on the car, it has changed hands twice now and i was told that the lady who had it first was told she needed a timing belt which was put on, from that point the car has not run and a small shop told the guy i got it from that it has no compression. dosent make sense to me but i am going to start checking it out. so the question is...is there something about this engine that if timed wrong or something besides blown up that would cause a no compression condition?

Thanks brian

very first thing i would do is check to make sure the timing belt was put on properly. Its very hard for these engines to have no compression at all unless there is a timing belt issue.

Thanks i am suspecting that the belt/timing is the problem, i just need to get a muanual and get to work checking it over, it has 230,000 on it according to the odometer if i can make her run again it would be a good driver.:headbang:
