July 24, 200619 yr I have a 1990 Justy GL, fuel injected. Just a couple weeks ago I started having problems with it. When driving, It would take a little while to accelerate, similar to what would happen if you tried using 5th gear instead of 1st. As long as I kept the clutch down a little longer it would be okay. I guess it decided that game was over. Now it will start up, but keeps sputtering like it wants to cut out, and yet never does. When push down the gas, the sputtering evens out, but there are no RPM's what-so-ever. When I let off of the gas the car stalls out unless I jiggle the clutch around. My dad is GM mechanic and has done all he knows how to do. He says that it's acting like a lack of vacuum, but isn't sure what's wrong. Does anybody have any clue as to what could be wrong?
