Will the steering wheel form a 1996 Legacy fit a 1996 Impreza? The wheels look identical. Would there be a difference in the shaft or threads?

I believe the difference, if any, could only be in the wiring. If you keep the original airbag (and cruise switch, if equipped) there shouldn't be any trouble.
