Which engine mount do I need to replace?

Featured Replies

To prevent the engine from rocking when I let off the gas in a 98 GT 5 speed? It is not a problem accelerating just when slowing down using the engine.

It is kind of violent these days causing the car to be less than totally enjoyable to drive.

Anyone have a part number handy??? Thanks!

Don't slow down using the engine, use the brakes. It's hard on the engine to engine brake...

brakes are way cheaper also. Engine braking going around some knarly turns is fun though

I tryed that in my auto 93 leg in manual mode. I downshift early but it doesnt seem right.:o

BUT, to answer your question:

The transmission mount. The one that mounts from below the car.

The engine/tranny in my old 1990 Legacy was bouncing about enough make a loud thump noise. Replaced trans mount, problem solved.

Well it is not like I was down shifting or anything. If I let off the gas in first or second it rocks around.
