Hm...how about plugging in one of those room hepa air filters into an inverter? Might not be quite what you had in mind but probably a lot easier than the alternatives?

ya that is a good idea, but i was thinking something more factory ish. Well no such thing but a subaru in cabin filter attached to the duct would be good.

Anyone know when they added these from the factory? I'm wondering if my 99 has one.
