Next Year a participant only

Featured Replies

I would like to echos Zap's comment on both posts, that open and the locked ones. I too have had it will all the work that goes into putting on the show. I will be a participant from now on. I think I will even go as far as staying at a nearby hotel so that I can get a good nights sleep. I can not believe how inconsiderate people can be. I love the one comment of one of the late night noise makers as he drove into the area, "Oh, you are at the quiet end of the camp!", to which I was thinking, "It was until you showed up." I'm sorry if I woke anyone up in the morning, I have a voice that carries, I was trying to be quiet, but I am a morning person, usually at work by 5 AM. I hope that there are more WCSS', I'll try to attend them. Whoever does continue these, please remember to move the location around, while Hood River is a great place, it is too far for some people (yes I know some people came a long way, but not everyone is that dedicated), try to make it fun for everyone, and most of all keep a thick skin and good luck.

I want to personally thank your Corky for all hard work you have put into the shows over the years. You should get to enjoy yourself from now on. Not only from all the hard work at the shows but all the hard work the months before the show set-up the registration and making sure everything went smoothly. Hopefully you will be able to advise the next registration coordinator and give them your formats, so it can go as smoothly has when you have handled it.

I know with the show still vividly in our minds we want to start planning again, but most of the people who put on the show this year are tired and are going to return to there family life for a while. So hopefully no one will start any post about next years venue or like that. But it is encouraging the amount of new people that want to vounteer.

Anyways a round of applauds for Corky and everyone that worked before the show to make it what it was.
