can i upgrade to a 4bbl carb on my 2bbl 1800cc carb motor? (4wd 86' subaru GL, if u guys are curious)...

A 4bl would be way overcarbed and of no benefit. There is a very well matched 2bl weber that has been proven. Do a search for that.

Get the webber 32-26 with the electric choke, easiest way to go, with the conversion kit from weber bout 300$. a four barrel is way way too much carburation, they put 2 barrels on V-8's, a 2 barrel is more than enough and the webber is tried and true.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The soobie I just acquired has a spankin new factory rebuild in it from the previous owner w/ very low mileage on it. I'm looking forward to freeing up as much power as I can and making it a nice little daily driver for a while.
