Hi everyone, I've read the guide here about ECU codes, but I'm not sure how to identify the connectors that I need for clearing the error codes. My Car is an 85 model with an EA82 Turbo. Can someone help me with this?

I don't know about the '85 ...but I have a '90 with some plastic connectors - green and white. The manual tell you which ones ...

its definitely the same connectors, they might not be next to the fuel filter. (thats right in front of the drivers face, in the extreme rear drivers side of the engine bay) they might be under the dash.

 

go to the USRM and look thru that for the procedure, but hes posted your wires.

Cheers, thanks for that. I dont actually have the manual and the stuff here about the codes doesnt specifically say which connectors to join to clear the codes. Yes I think mine are under the dash - so you join both green connectors to the white connectors to clear the codes? or just one of them?

okay, not trying to be a jerk here.

 

scroll all the way up to the top of your screen. the topmost line of text, on the right side, had four links. one of them is the USRM==Ultimate Subaru Repair Manual.

By the way, use the search function and look for the fsm.. someone has it posted on their website, i forget who.. i have it on my machine but no hosting anywhere. im lazy, sorry.

 

yes, connecting both of them will clear the codes..start the engine, achieve operating temperature, cut the car off, connect both plugs, start the car. that will clear the codes.

no. well... yah. that time. I got interrupted. the funny thing was, as i was hitting the "post" button i thought to myself.. "I woner how often i do this and miss a post in this delay?" I had to get up and do something, i dont know what at this point. my landlord likes to grab my attention outta left field.. we have ALOT of projects around the house that need attending to...
