gonna drive the 82 home...

Featured Replies

Well, Ive decided instead of towing im just going to drive the 82 wagon from DC back to Scranton, PA, about 280 miles. Im just worried about her breaking down on the way home. Hopefully it wont!! Any suggestions for the trip?? Is it a bad idea to drive it back? Let me know

i'd say bring some spare parts and a tool kit.

also wear your lucky underwear and buy a rabbits foot

Haha.. thanks for the words of advice

really depends on the condition that car is in.

I mean if it is running well there is no reason that it shouldn't make it.

One think that you might want to bring is a spare fuel pump. That part goes out you are stuck. the EA81 will be no speed demon so it's better to take it nice and steady than try to go fast. stay around 60-65 and that should keeps the RPMs low and the engine happy.
