on a 96 impreza AWD 5-speed 2.2

 

 

i still havent had the time to swap my axles...but im thinking this week is when it will happen....just wanna make sure i have the right axles before i dedicate my day and then something goes wrong

 

 

also im gonna change my struts....so if i remove the strut(but leave the balljoint in place) i should def have more than enough room to remove the axle right?

Not sure about the spline count, but I have been able to replace axels on an 01 impreza 2.2 MT by just removing the strut bolts. Make sure you pull the transmission side out first, slide that toward the back of the car, then pull it out of the hub. No need to pull the ball joint.

still lookin for spline count....its not that important but some of you guys know this off the top of ur head
