Would I be able to plug a Air/Fuel ratio gauge into the O2 sensor on a EJ22 without it stuffing up the reading the ECU receives?

yes you can, i went to a wrecking yard and cut the plugs from the stock harness and the O2 sensor, then flipped them around and wired them together for a pigtail harness. spliced the signal wire into the white wire in my harness and plugged it all together.

 

works great on my 92 turbo legacy, or Liberty RS in ausie land
