I hit a deer.

Featured Replies

Ok, so I hit a deer pretty hard tonight in my 95 impreza L. I am lookin at a new hood, fender, corner marker and headlight. What I was wondering was two things. one what should i expect to pay for these parts, and two is there a significant difference if I was to get the parts to convert to a RS/OBS style hood? obviously i would have to spend more on things like another headlight and a later model grill, but I am trying to see some opertunity in this misfortune.

not to joke about it, but now u can have that Deer Sticker you always wanted on your door!!!

Price will be all over the place depending upon where you get the parts. A 'L' hood is baiscally one piece, the RS/OBS hood is made up of 4 basic pieces, the hood, the scoop assy and the two vents, At a wrecking yard, you might be able to get the RTS/OBS hood at the same price as a L hood, but most Imprezas that I have seen in a wrecking yard have front end damage, so good luck looking there.

well, i got lucky, the local JY has a forest green 96 impreza OB. its still the L hood but its the right color. The guy says a hood, fender, headlight, and corner will run me about 200.
