Wiper electrical diagram needed - 2k obw

Featured Replies

I have a problem developing with my front wipers. Every time I operate the wipers in either intermittent mode or pulling on the handle for a one sweep pass, the wipers will run across the glass slowly. This does not happen all the time but maybe about one time in six. Slow operation suggests a bad ground or bad electrical connection somewhere in the system. I would like to try and determine what is happening before the wipers simply stop operating one day when I need them.

Any help would be appreciated. This is for a 2000 OBW but a few years difference my not matter.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

My info shows that the blk/blu wire is for the low speed and the red/blu wire is for the high speed. The blk wire goes to ground. I would check the voltage getting to the motor. If it is ok the problem will be in the motor or there is a excessive mechanical load on the system.

Do those wires all originate on the motor or on the controls on the steering column?

Steve

I don't have my info handy at the moment but I think they tie between the motor and the control switch. There may be a control box in between them but I'm not sure.
