Legacy steering thingy.....

Featured Replies

OK, finally got around to it and went under the car, and i saw these assorted ball jointed things coming out of the firewall. So one has a bolt u could clearly see was about to fall out, so i tighten it and, NO PLAY YAY! but i dont know should i lock tight it? SHould it be AS tight as possable? Will it affect alignment? Thanks!

It's splined on both ends so unless you took it off your steering should be OK. If you pulled it, the steering wheel may be off center but no alignment problems. Tight is good, I've never seen one back off.

it should be fine by just tightening, it should already have a lock washer on it.

For future referance, they're called "universal joints"

Might make it easier later.
