November 16, 200619 yr Spalding Auto Wrecking in Spokane will sell you a single row for under $100 shipped to your door. I've bought 5 or 6 from them and never had a problem with any of them. (over the course of as many years with as many cars!). Good luck; a new radiator should do the trick; I've never found a need for a double row and would only consider it for an EA82T. Oh, one other thing, I'm a firm believer in going OEM on thermostats and PCV valves. And a clogged EGR will make the engine run hotter than normal but you won't overheat with a good radiator (my Brat has a weber and dis-abled EGR and runs all day without overheating).
November 16, 200619 yr Author i do have an EA82T i went up a real steep hill and the temp was at 1/2 and as i started up the hill it crept up, as i got to the middle of the hill it flew up to 3/4 and stayed, and i pulled off and let the car idle for a minute and shut it off, let it cool, and coasted back down the hill home. Uhg im getting that 85$ 2 row tomarrow, i have to... since it seems under 100$ for a 1 row is a good deal, a 2 row for 85$ must be a pretty nice deal then.
November 16, 200619 yr Do you know of any radiator repair shops near you??? They can dip it and then solder it and then it should be preety good.... but if your rad is really old and neglected... itll do more bad then good....
November 16, 200619 yr Author when i had mine out, the inlet on the top was mangled to hell, like some1 crushed it then attemped to bend it back, im surprised it seals, so its not worth that, plus i want a 2 row radiator anyway
November 17, 200619 yr I dont know if i said this already or if someone else has but, Performance rad is welll ... hehe... stationed here in Az but they have other locations... and Rallyruss told me thats where he got the radiator for my roo... and its a 2 row.. although to get it out you have to bend things
November 17, 200619 yr Author got a Brand new 1 row for 100$ after tax and it works GREAT, totally solved all my problems, the car now stays right at 1/3 of the gauge, weather im on the highway, going up that steep hill, or driving it really hard. I love it, im soooooo happy its not a head gasket
