flexplate alignment question

ea82t, 3at, how do i align the flexplate? i think i would turn the crank till #1 is at tdc compression, then put on flexplate so the timing marks line up on the housing. does that sound righ or does it even matter?

One or more of the bolt holes on the flexplate is offset. This means there's only one way you can install that flexplate.
