I have heard about the Subaru Coolant Conditioner people recommend for the phase II 2. 5L. Does anybody know where I can get this and how much it is? Also any other suggestions when flushing the coolant? This is the first time I myself have flushed the coolant. I had the last coolant flush when I had the timing belt and water pump changed. porcupine73 Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 I have an '00obw too and yep the coolant conditioner is recommended to prevent the external leaks. It's only like $2 maybe for a bottle but some dealers mark it up like crazy.
