i'm having a problem with my transmission, when i shift into drive the rpm's race up to about 2000 rpm's and slowly come down and then go into gear and it does the same thing going from gear to gear. any ideas!!!!!

I think you need your transmission brake band adjusted.

+1 to what Manarius said. You didn't mention checking the tranny fluid, so I will offer the suggestion. I know I know, the NOOB is giving advice. Stupid advice @ that LOL. Having worked in a (GAH) Ford dealer for awhile you'd be suprised at the people who don't know to do this LOL

I'm from the "check the easy stuff first" school of troubleshooting. Guess that makes me lazy huh?
