I was just wondering if after having my lifters refurbished and my cam reground, do I still need to put each lifter back where it came from? IE in the same spot it was in before?

its not a bad idea if you know where they came from, but it wont hurt if you dont.

It is mainly the lifter/cam interface that is important to keep matched.
