Alarm issues "Scratch Your Head"

Featured Replies

For the past 6 months the alarm system on my 98 OBW is being set off by other people locking or unlocking their cars. When I am at the mall it goes off at least once and my next door neighbor sets it off every morning. Do I have a failing alarm system module? What to do... :slobber: Other makes and models not just sub's set it off

Have you been mean to it? Maybe its trying to run away from home.

Is this a factory unit?

Have you tried "re-sycning" the remote to the car? I had to do this when I got a replacement remote for the 98 LGT.

Is your battery good? I have lots of strange problems when mine failed. Most notably was the radio and wipers cutting out unexpectedly.

Both are a bit of a stretch, but easy to check.
