I have started working on the 1980 GL Wagon for my daughter. The gas tank is completely clogged, and needs to be dropped and cleaned. The Haynes manual says to unbolt and drop it. The problem that I see is the rear end sits in adepression in the bottom of the tank. Do I have to drop the rear end, or can I just lift the car by the frame and let the rear end drop to give me enough clearance? I also need a passenger rear light assembly, if anyone has one please give me a price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

gotta break the rear axle mounts loose to let that crossbar drop to get the tank out. easy off and on eith an impact
