Need Help - Broken Belt Tightener

Featured Replies

Hell all,

I have a 1997 2.2ltr Subaru Impreza Outback Sport wagon. I was trying to tighten the belt on the passenger side by turning the belt tightening screw. It was very cold out when I was trying and the bolts I was suppose to loosen before tightening were interfering. I cracked the piece that the screw you turn to tighten the belt goes through. Once I tried to tighten it again when it got warm out, it simply came apart. I need to replace the part that the screw goes through so I can install it and start driving the car again. Does anyone know the part number for this piece (or at least the proper name for it). I can not find it in any of my part number books and papers. Thanks!

BTW: Below are some pictures of the piece I need to replace.
