Does anyone have information on the failure mode of the digital clocks in 98-200x Foresters and Imprenzas? I've just had my second one fail and the junkyards in town have been picked clean of them.

It appears to be just (?) a display issue. Does anyone have a clock schematic?

Do a search on this site. There is a defective solder joint to a resistor. There are detailed instructions on how to locate and repair if you are handy. There is even a board member that had been repairing them for others. Search and ye shall find.

Yea it's an easy to remove the clock and you only have to resolder one connection. My fiance was intrigued by the idea of soldering, so I let her do it. Its THAT EASY.

Another successful digital clock fix. 99 Forester and the clock has been working sporadically for quite a while..Read the posts on the "fix" and finally got around to doing it...20 minutes and bingo, we have time...
