looking for a cheap place to at least put the car on a lift and raise it up to look at whether this muffler i got is gonna fit...the other guy just looked under the car and said it wouldnt fit...and my mechanic said it should and based that on having the car in the air and positioning the muffler..

Just a thought. I have a local "Muffler Man" store that does some work for me. What I do is take them to him on Thusday's if I need that type of work. Day before payday and such, it's a relativly slow day usually. I hardly ever have to even wait for them to work on it. HTH.
